Reflecting on 2022..

Here we are again. Nearly a whole year has gone by and my little business is still going strong! Our client list is currently on 378 people, with a good bunch of regular and returning customers.

The biggest THANK YOU goes to you all.

I simply wouldn’t be here without you.

This year has been incredible on a personal level - brilliant holidays, the wedding, spending time with friends and family - but the busy year meant the business had to take a back seat.

We didn’t have many goals this year, just to concentrate on the wedding and keep the business going! We introduced a new employee in January but the lovely Ben left us at the end of April to start full time employment elsewhere. This then lead to the big decision to leave Philgood at the end of August and open LHrehab for the full 5 days a week again. Which, in hindsight, was the right decision as it gave me time to concentrate on LHrehab (my little baby) but it meant saying goodbye to the wonderful Mazeie and all of my clients there.

Like always, I’m never very good at sitting still, so with suddenly all this extra time on my hands (no longer spent wedding planning) - I really did start looking at the next step for the business.

I’ve managed to complete a few more John Gibbons courses:

  • Kinesiology Taping

  • The vital shoulder

  • Muscle energy techniques

  • Vital glutes

  • Vital Hip

(3 to go and I complete a diploma - aim for next year!)

I also decided to look into rebranding.

It’s a bit of a tricky road to navigate as my degree is sport and exercise rehabilitation - but since working I’ve realised the clients I resonate best with & feel I can help the most are more of the "general public”. People just getting into sport or fitness and wanting to learn more about what else needs to be done behind the scenes.

Lifting weights to keep strong and help avoid an injury. What goes into a proper warm up or cool down. Proper recoveries.

The less you know the MORE I can help - so I wanted the business logo to step away from just “sport” and be open to everyone.

Hopefully I’ve done that justice!

You may have noticed a little extra bit added to the logo… wellness studio..

Don’t panic - it’s only an 8 minute drive from here, but the extra space adds SO much potential!

The plan is to have a little rehab gym area, a treatment room and space in the middle to run small classes. I’ll have the keys by February and I’m planning to move in as soon as possible (and of course there will be an open day/PARTY).

I cannot wait to tell you all about it and show you all as soon as possible…

But for now.. I hope you had a VERY merry Christmas and HERE’S TO NEXT YEAR!!
